Hi, I’m Rishit, a pre-med student at UCLA! I love medical research, and have 7 years of experience working in all mediums of science (wet lab, dry lab, and clinical trials). I am currently working in a clinical trial revolving around TMS as a potential symptom reducer to chronic concussions, and am in the publishing process of a meta-analysis on the relationship between concussions and heart rate variability. Outside of school-related activities, I love to play sports (specifically basketball and football) and go to the beach!
Stuttering has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. It’s shaped how I communicate, challenged me at times, and taught me resilience. I started this site to create a space where people who stutter — and those who want to learn more — can find support, share stories, and feel understood. I also aim to guide others to engage in their own research on stuttering to understand the biological aspect and scope of understanding the medical world has on this way of speech. Together, we can conquer the stigma behind stuttering, and work towards building a community founded on compassion and knowledge!
